<p>Dwayne Johnson ditches the action-hero swagger for a raw, bruising turn in this biopic of Mark Kerr, the MMA (that’s mixed martial arts – cage-fighting before it was cool) legend whose toughest battles happened outside the ring. Emily Blunt co-stars as his wife Dawn, anchoring the chaos with heart, while Johnson delivers the most vulnerable performance of his career – a man trying to be more than muscle. Gritty, sweaty, and properly emotional, it’s a world away from&nbsp;<em>Fast &amp; Furious</em>&nbsp;and yes, people are already whispering the O-word – who’d have thought The Rock might swap blockbusters for a golden statue?</p>

With Julia Fox, Jim Jefferies, and even a few hip-hop names making their big-screen debuts,&nbsp;<em>HIM</em>&nbsp;is part sports saga, part psychological nightmare.</p>

<p>Julia Roberts leads this blistering campus drama as Alma, a philosophy professor whose world crumbles when a star student (Ayo Edebiri) accuses a colleague (Andrew Garfield) of sexual assault. Secrets from Alma’s past begin to bubble up, alliances fracture, and nothing is quite as it seems. Directed by Luca Guadagnino (yes,&nbsp;<em>Call Me by Your Name&nbsp;</em>fame), with a score by Trent Reznor &amp; Atticus Ross,&nbsp;<em>After the Hunt</em>&nbsp;is stylish, morally messy, and guaranteed to spark arguments on the way home.</p>

Jared Leto steps into the pixelated spotlight as Ares, with Evan Peters, Greta Lee, and Gillian Anderson adding extra star power. It’s glossy, high-octane sci-fi with a cautionary edge – and the kind of eye-popping spectacle that makes the cinema snacks taste even better.</p>

<p>Channing Tatum swaps dancing for drama in this wild true story of Jeffrey Manchester, the ex-Army man who broke out of prison and secretly lived inside a Toys “R” Us, surviving on Happy Meals and hiding in the walls. It’s a career-best turn from Tatum, with Kirsten Dunst as his love interest, LaKeith Stanfield, and Peter Dinklage adding extra star power. Directed by David Gordon Green (<em>Halloween</em>),&nbsp;<em>Roofman</em>&nbsp;is part true-crime thriller, part offbeat love story – and so strange it could only be true.</p>

Grief, secrets, and plenty of mother–daughter fireworks follow, with emotions running high and no easy fixes in sight. Moving, messy – just don’t ask us to pick which one’s supposed to be the parent, because they look more like classmates.</p>

<p>The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White slips into denim and darkness for this Bruce Springsteen biopic, zeroing in on the&nbsp;<em>Nebraska</em>&nbsp;era when The Boss swapped stadium fireworks for something far more fragile. It’s about sleepless nights, creative battles, and ghosts that won’t quit – and with the incredible Stephen Graham as his tough, complicated dad, you know it’s going to hit hard. Just don’t go in expecting&nbsp;<em>Born to Run</em>&nbsp;sing-alongs – this is Bruce at his broodiest.</p>

<p>From the wonderfully weird mind of Yorgos Lanthimos (<em>Poor Things, The Favourite</em>) comes a tale only he could cook up. Two conspiracy nuts kidnap a powerful CEO (Emma Stone), convinced she’s an alien plotting Earth’s destruction, while Jesse Plemons and Willem Dafoe play the true believers pulling the strings. It’s part sci-fi thriller, part deadpan comedy, all visually dazzling weirdness and already sparking Oscar buzz for Stone and Plemons – though whether you leave amused, disturbed or both is anyone’s guess.</p>
