<p>The first half of Jon M. Chu’s&nbsp;<em>Wicked&nbsp;</em>had audiences green with delight – now comes the darker, dirtier second act.<strong><em>&nbsp;For Good&nbsp;</em></strong>picks up where the story left off, with Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba stepping fully into her power (and infamy) as the so-called Wicked Witch of Oz. The fairytale sheen fades fast as the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) and Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) brand her an enemy of the state, and all that sparkly Shiz-school sisterhood gives way to revolution, heartbreak and moral murk. All your favourites return – Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode – plus a yet-to-be-revealed Dorothy (but yes, Colman Domingo as the Cowardly Lion is&nbsp;<em>purr</em>-fectly inspired casting). <p>Set in 1916,&nbsp;<strong><em>The Choral</em></strong>&nbsp;transports us to a Yorkshire village fighting to keep its beloved choir alive as the First World War steals away its sons. Refusing to let the music die, the Choral Society rallies the locals and brings in a mysterious new chorus master, Dr Henry Guthrie (Ralph Fiennes), freshly returned from Germany with more than a few secrets in his songbook. As the shadow of conscription looms, the villagers discover that even in the darkest times, music has the power to heal. Directed by stage and screen legend Nicholas Hytner and written by the incomparable Alan Bennett, this is their fourth collaboration – and if&nbsp;<em>The Madness of King George</em>,&nbsp;<em>The History Boys</em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>The Lady in the Van</em>&nbsp;are anything to go by, expect wit, warmth, and that quietly devastating Bennett brilliance.</p>

Ramsay’s signature psychological edge meets these powerhouse performances head on in this gripping exploration of motherhood, identity, and the thin line between reality and delusion. Not one for the faint-hearted, but absolutely unforgettable.</p>

<p>As recent news events have taught us, you don’t need fancy magic, sleight of hand or illusions to steal some historic crown jewels, but when it’s Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Lizzy Caplan and Dave Franco, reuniting for another round of slick illusions, high-stakes cons and reality-bending trickery, we’ll be watching. This time, Venom director Ruben Fleischer takes the&nbsp;<strong><em>Now You See Me</em></strong>&nbsp;reins, promising bigger stunts, bolder scams and a new generation of illusionists ready to blur the line between magic and misdirection. Expect twists, double-crosses and enough razzle-dazzle to make you question everything you’re seeing – again.</p>

Glen Powell slips into Arnie’s iconic yellow jumpsuit as Ben Richards, a desperate father forced to compete in the deadliest game show on Earth. The rules? Survive 30 days while being hunted by professional killers, with every heart-stopping move broadcast to a bloodthirsty public. But Richards’ brains and bravery soon make him more than just entertainment – he becomes a revolution in motion. Josh Brolin, Colman Domingo and Michael Cera round out the cast, while director Edgar Wright brings his signature fast-paced, kinetic, satirical style to a version that’s sharper, darker and truer to King’s original dystopia.</p>

<p>Charlotte (Katherine Waterston) has finally had her fill of dusty ranch life – and of her controlling husband – so she heads back to her mother’s glossy Park Avenue apartment, stepping into the world (and the love) she once left behind. Reunited with her formidable mother, Kit (the ever-brilliant Fiona Shaw), the two women begin to pick apart years of silence, simmering resentments and unspoken affection, discovering how their opposing choices have shaped (and scarred) each other. Written and directed by Gaby Dellal,&nbsp;<strong><em>Park Avenue&nbsp;</em></strong>is tender, taut and beautifully observed – a slow-burning portrait of mothers and daughters, identity and the ties that both bind and bruise.</p>

<p><strong><em>Christy</em>&nbsp;</strong>sees Sydney Sweeney take a brutal, unflinching turn as boxing legend Christy Martin in David Michod’s raw-knuckle biopic. What begins as an inspirational sports story evoking&nbsp;<em>Rocky, Million Dollar Baby</em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Girlfight</em>, quickly turns dark as Christy’s personal life spirals under the control of her sociopathic husband and former trainer, James (Ben Foster, icy and unnerving). Michod exposes the terrifying abuse behind the headlines: humiliation, coercion, exploitative fights, and a struggle with addiction, crafting a story that punches far harder than any bout in the ring. It’s relentless, harrowing, and impossible to look away from with Sweeney proving she’s every inch a heavyweight talent.</p>

<p>Nearly a decade after&nbsp;<em><strong>Zootropolis</strong></em>&nbsp;first charmed audiences (and nabbed an Oscar), everyone’s favourite odd-couple crimefighters are back on the beat. Sly fox Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) and ever-optimistic bunny cop Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) reunite for another fur-flying adventure – this time involving a slippery new face, voiced by Ke Huy Quan. Idris Elba, Shakira, Quinta Brunson and Andy Samberg also lend their dulcets to this fam friendly watch that’s packed with humour, heart, and blink-and-you’ll-miss-it puns.</p>
