<p>Step this way for a fix of girl power action! Picture the scene, Mexico 1971, four women break from the super conservative tradition of the time and proudly join the country’s first female police force. This pride however is quickly bruised when they learn their squad is a publicity stunt to distract the media from a brutal serial killer that’s on the loose. So, they do what any woman that’s been shunned by the patriarchy would do, go after the killer themselves! Based on unbelievable true events and featuring an entirely Hispanic cast and crew,<strong><em>&nbsp;Women in Blue</em></strong>, or rather,&nbsp;<em>Las Azules</em>&nbsp;is so compelling you’ll easily ignore the dubbing!&nbsp;</p>

<p>After the Marmite opening ceremony last Friday (welcome back Celine Dion, we’re not sure about the naked Papa Smurf on a fruit salad!) consider us hooked on the Olympic Games! With six medals (and counting) on the scoresheet already – one gold, three silver and two bronze – and with sooo many events still to come: gymnastics, rowing, triathlon, all the athletics track and field. C’mon team GB!</p>

<p>Got a head for heights? Good because we are going up, up to the summit of Mount Everest in this inspiring documentary about the only woman to have scaled the mountain ten times, Lhakpa Sherpa. Directed by Oscar nominee Lucy Walker who deserves a round of applause for traipsing back and fourth up the mountain with Lhakpa too,&nbsp;<strong><em>Mountain Queen</em></strong>&nbsp;not only gets to grips with Lahkpa’s motives, inspiration and drive, it also gets candid about her traumatic personal life. Inspiring yet heartbreaking, and the scenery is even more spectacular than you’d imagine.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Rob Lowe and his baby blues are back as&nbsp;<strong><em>Unstable</em></strong>&nbsp;tech entrepreneur, Ellis Dragon in this easy-breezy comedy. After the explosive end to season one, we find Ellis preparing himself for jail – we’re talking orange jumpsuits, cold showers the works – while still trying to reconnect with his son Jackson (Rob’s actual son, John Owen Lowe) and see if he has what it takes to be his successor. Lamorne Morris of&nbsp;<em>New Girl&nbsp;</em>fame and Iris Apatow join the cast of this light-hearted series which will see you laughing into the weekend. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Garlic, holy water and cushion at the ready? Good, you’re all set for another toothy instalment of<strong><em>&nbsp;Interview with the Vampire</em></strong>. This slick adaptation of Anne Rice’s enduring novel continues with vampy Louis (Jacob Anderson) recounting events from his immortal life to Eric Bogosian’s journalist Daniel. In this season, Louis tells of his time in Romania, the only problem is, his version of events don’t seem to ring true. Darker than anticipated, especially if you’re a fan of the Nineties movie starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, yet Anderson is an incredibly captivating Pitt substitute.</p>

<p>Another week, another&nbsp;<em>Walking Dead</em>&nbsp;sequel. This new series focuses on the survival of gravel-voiced zombie hunter Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus). For some reason he’s washed up on the coast of France – meaning new viewers can jump right in – here he meets Isabelle (the beautiful (Clémence Poésy) and accepts her mysterious side mission. Cue blood, gore, special effects and loadsa action. Not for the faint hearted but it’s one of those you can’t stop watching as 14 years in, we’re still not over&nbsp;<em><strong>The Walking Dead.&nbsp;</strong></em></p>
