Steve McQueen’s new film Blitz is out now, and a big part of it was filmed right here in Kent at <a href="https://thedockyard.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Historic Dockyard Chatham</a>! The Dockyard was transformed into all kinds of WWII settings, including a London Underground station and a factory. One of the most intense scenes was filmed right here, using a specially-built façade with fire and smoke effects that really capture the drama of London during the Blitz. The story follows Saoirse Ronan’s character, Rita, as she searches bombed-out London for her son. If you&#8217;re planning to catch Blitz in cinemas or on Apple TV, keep an eye out for these epic Dockyard scenes!

There&#8217;s lots to enjoy at Penshurst Place this upcoming season! Including their popular mini panto experience, <a href="https://www.penshurstplace.com/whats-on/events-and-activities/2024-12/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Ice That Nearly Cancelled Christmas!</a> showing Sat 7 – Mon 23 Dec in the medieval Baron&#8217;s Hall where the elves have been getting up to no good. Ideal for children aged 0-12 years old. Tickets are £8.50pp which includes access to the Adventure Playground after your show (weather dependent). There&#8217;s also quiet sessions held on Sat 14 &amp; Sun 22 Dec designed for children with special educational needs and disabilities, such as ASD or sensory processing disorders, to enjoy the panto in a more relaxed environment.&nbsp;
