Get ready for a dazzling display of lights at the <a href="https://www.gravesham.gov.uk/light-festival" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Gravesham Light Festival</a> on Fri 30 &amp; Sat 31 Jan. With the theme Light and Life, the streets of Gravesend will come alive with glowing installations, music, workshops and immersive experiences and it&#8217;s completely FREE to enjoy. 



The cultural calendar expands into winter with Turner Contemporary’s&nbsp;<a href="https://turnercontemporary.org/whats-on/events/winter-wellness_festival_2026" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Winter Wellness Festival</a>, running from&nbsp;30 Jan – 22 Feb. This three-week programme explores the idea of care – both personal and collective – through movement, sound, immersive experiences, creative workshops, Ayurvedic suppers and conversations designed to encourage grounding, connection and renewal during the colder months.



Catch <a href="https://www.canterburyoasttrust.org.uk/rare-breed-centre/whats-on/dino-explorers-day/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Dino Explorers Day</a> at Rare Breeds Centre on Sat 17 Jan, from 10am &#8211; 3pm, a day of prehistoric adventure. Meet the Dino Explorers as they roam the farm hunting for dinosaurs, chat with them, follow their adventure, and grab a picture with them too.

The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury are welcoming some big names in comedy to their stage this month. <a href="https://marlowetheatre.com/shows/chris-mccausland-yonks-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Chris McCausland</a> brings you his new tour Yonks! on Thurs 15 Jan. Seann Walsh will be headlining a hugely popular night of live comedy, <a href="https://marlowetheatre.com/shows/live-at-the-marlowe-47/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Live at The Marlowe</a>, featuring some of the country’s biggest stars such as Vittorio Angelone, Celya AB and Shappi Khorsandi on Sat 17 Jan. Alternatively, end the month with a blast with <a href="https://marlowetheatre.com/shows/jason-manford-a-manford-all-seasons/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Jason Manford&#8217;s</a> brand-new live show on Fri 30 Jan.



Keeping the big names coming; The Assembly Hall in Tunbridge Wells is welcoming <a href="https://www.assemblyhalltheatre.co.uk/whats-on/rob-beckett-giraffe.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Rob Beckett</a> on Thurs 29 Jan for one night only. What else is there to do? Sit next to your partner on the sofa scrolling in silence again?&nbsp;You did that the last three nights so book this asap.



Hot off the back of his smash hit UK tour, <a href="https://www.parkwoodtheatres.co.uk/hazlitt-theatre/whats-on/simon-brodkin-new-work-in-progress" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Simon Brodkin</a> is back and will be at The Hazlitt Theatre for his work-in-progress show on Thurs 22 Jan.
