<p>At Penshurst Place in Tonbridge,&nbsp;late May&nbsp;and throughout&nbsp;June is a floral highlight as the stunning 100-metre Peony Border bursts into bloom with pinks of every shade&nbsp;&#8211; the first act in a spectacular garden show.&nbsp;Over a mile of sculpted yew hedging frames a series of beautiful garden ‘rooms’, each with its own seasonal colour and charm. Beyond the formal grounds, explore 50 acres of parkland, lakes, and woodland walks. This year, 1,000 cosmos brighten the Italian Garden, and the newly replanted lavender beds in the Flag Garden mark the end of a seven-year project. Early summer warmth has already coaxed out some of the climbing roses, with the rest of the&nbsp;5,000&nbsp;roses and&nbsp;multiple&nbsp;herbaceous borders set to put on a full show through June.</p>

<p>Established in the year 2000 to mark the turn of the millennium, the Millennium Rose Garden is a tranquil and enchanting highlight of Mount Ephraim Gardens and now&#8217;s the perfect time to explore. The garden is gracefully structured with a wrought iron arbour and elegant rose arches. In midsummer, the garden reaches its full glory and provides overwhelming loveliness.</p>

Plus enjoy a talk with rose gardener Jonathan Cook on Wednesday 18 June 11:30am and 1:30pm (included with castle admission ticket). In May, the Orchard dazzles with clouds of apple blossom and a lively carpet of buttercups, camassia, and alliums.
