This girl can!

Juggling motherhood, jiggly bits and the barriers to exercising, This Girl Can is back with its brand new campaign for National Fitness Day and we LOVE it!

How about this for a bit of Wednesday motivation? Sport England have released the new This Girl Can ad and we’re loving its brilliantly accurate portrayal of the daily grind (not to mention societal and, of course, Covid barriers) that prevent many women from getting involved with exercise and sport.

Check it out below!

Set to British rap artist Little Simz’s No Offence (because nothing else but rap, grime and drill will do on a TV ad these days) the short video, covers issues that effect women of all ages and backgrounds, from body image and period pain to juggling family life and menopause. There’s also a timely nod to working out in lockdown – cue Zoom workouts, hand sanitiser and social distancing!

So, seeing as it’s National Fitness Day and, let’s face it, we could all do with making a little time for ourselves to exercise (healthy body, heathy mind and all that), let’s make a pact to get involved. Let’s go! #thisgirlcan #butfirstcoffee #joking! #ersortof
