Killer wellies to wear this Spring

Who says the humble welly boot can’t be chic? Here are the latest styles, including Hunter’s new Killing Eve limited-edition collection.

Hunter’s latest collab is to die for – literally. Everyone’s favourite fashion welly has paired with with Killing Eve ahead of the final series arriving this month (28 Feb on BBC iPlayer, put it in your calendar), and the new styles are seriously slick.

There are two new boots on offer: The Hunting and The Chasing. The Hunting Boot is a shorter mid-calf length made with water-resistant Stetson leather that comes in sleek black or cool olive. The top folds down (perfect for showing off the vegan recycled Sherpa lining) and the boot even has a removable pouch to keep all sorts of nefarious things in – or just to look good, we suppose.

The Chasing Boot is made with the same water-resistant Stetson leather and vegan Sherpa lining, but in a knee-high style and available in three colourways – Black, Olive and Camel (our fave). The Hunting comes in at £195 and The Chasing is £295, with each coming in an iconic ‘Sorry baby’ box – we think Villanelle would approve.

Not your bag? There are plenty of equally chic styles on the market right now. If you love a print, check out these camo colour-pop numbers made with sustainable rubber from Everclear (£47), or a floral classic from Joules (£49.95) with striped lining and adjustable back gusset (oo-er).

Who says you have to give up your chunky soles, too? We love these purse-friendly beige Chelsea boots from ASOS Design (currently on sale for a bargainous £20), but our hearts are secretly lusting after these olive green Ganni country boots, £215.

The frozen toes brigade (*raises hand*) will know the importance of a fluffy lining in a rain boot, so if you’re prone to cold feet we recommend the Storm Chaser boot from Seasalt in dark green, grey or navy (£45). For a knee-high option, try Holland Cooper‘s chic croc Regency wellington with its Sherpa lining.

How about a pop of colour if black and blue leave you, well, blue? These yellow ankle boots from Bimba y Lola are so bright you’ll need shades (£48), while these Cotswold Sandringham wellies in vibrant berry (£58.99) will cheer up even the drizzliest of dog walks.
