Opportunity knocks! Two fully-funded places available for Benenden’s Sixth Form

Does your child have a passion for STEM, Humanities or Languages? Find out more about this amazing opportunity for 2 local girls to receive a fully funded Bursary place at leading UK school, Benenden.

Benenden, one of the UK’s finest and most prestigious, independent girls’ schools is offering two fully-funded day places to local girls who wish to join the Sixth Form.

Traditionally a boarding school, this all girls Kent boarding school – situated, as the name suggests, in Benenden is due to welcome day pupils for the first time ever from this September (2021).

The new fully funded Sixth Form scholarships will be available for girls to join Benenden at 16+ and the school is encouraging girls who plan to specialise in STEM, Humanities or Languages at A Level to apply.

Two supported Sixth Form places are available and could be fully-funded places, (subject to the normal means-tested bursary application process).

These will be awarded to girls joining their Year 12 Day pupil intake in September, one to a girl with a particular interest in and talent for STEM, and a second to a girl whose enthusiasm lies in Humanities or Languages.

Benenden Headmistress Samantha Price said: ‘We are delighted to be able to offer these fully-funded day places to two local girls who are currently in Year 11. Our Sixth Form is the ideal bridge between school and university and we are looking for girls who will immerse themselves in the wonderful array of opportunities here at Benenden, both inside and outside the classroom.’

STEM, Humanities and Languages at Benenden are incredibly popular here and our Scholars will be able to enjoy a wide range of opportunities to extend their passion for their subject.

Amber Donovan-Stevens, who joined Benenden on a full bursary at the age of 11 and went on to become the School’s Head Girl, is a strong advocate for bursaries. She said: ‘I cannot begin to explain everything that Benenden has done for me. I have had opportunities provided that I had never imagined.’

This is a warm and friendly school, where girls go on to seize life’s every opportunity. The facilities at Benenden School are superb and include a purpose-built Theatre, state-of-the-art Science Centre, swimming pool, all-weather sports pitch and a beautiful Eco-Classroom.

They are currently constructing a new School Hall and Music School, a development which will create one of the South East’s foremost concert halls.
