It’s the ultimate education dilemma: single-sex or co-ed? Studies find benefits in both, but what we do know is that co-education fosters mutual respect, understanding and cooperation &#8211; essential life skills for all pupils. 



So we posed the question to Sevenoaks Prep, the co-educational, independent day school, that beat schools across the UK to be crowned the best for Outstanding Pastoral Care in the Muddy Schools Awards.

How? Co-education teaches children to cooperate with both sexes from an early age, fostering essential teamwork skills. Students learn to appreciate differences, fostering empathy and reducing gender-based misconceptions.
