<p>It’s here! Part one of the final season of the much-discussed Royal drama drops this week. Now encroaching on our collective memory of events, this series will focus on the blossoming romance between a young Kate and William, Tony Blair’s premiership and Princess Diana’s final years – controversy aside, we’ve stuck with&nbsp;<strong><em>The Crown</em></strong>&nbsp;this far and we’re determined to see it through! As usual the casting is spot on with Elizabeth Debicki, Dominic West and Imelda Staunton reprising their regal roles while Ed McVey, Meg Bellamy and Luther Ford join the cast as Princes William and Harry and Kate Middleton in their younger years.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder lead this bonkers dark comedy which is so cringeworthy at times you’ll feel awkward yourself, (so, in other words great TV!). They play Asher (Fielder) and Whitney Siegel (Stone), a husband and wife duo trying to launch a house-flipping reality TV show in New Mexico. The show, called Flipanthropy, sees them doing good deeds for impoverished people in the city, but when an act of charity goes awry, the pair find themselves on the brink of cancellation.&nbsp;<strong><em>The Curse</em></strong>&nbsp;is shift-in-your-seat uncomfortable and hilarious viewing.</p>

<p>As with all good murder mysteries,&nbsp;<strong><em>A Murder At The End Of The World&nbsp;</em></strong>involves a wannabe Detective, a mysterious, reclusive billionaire, a group of strangers invited to a remote location and a bloody murder. Throw in Clive Owen, Emma Corrin and Brit Marling and you have yourselves a (deadly) party. After one of the group is found dead, super-sleuth Darby Hart (Corrin) must prove foul play before anyone else is killed off. It’s slick and stylish, if a little violent in places, which we’ll happily overlook for the top notch cast and gripping premise.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Only Keanu Reeves could make us give a hoot about Formula 1 racing and he really does in this insightful documentary about the rise and random fall of Brawn GP – one of the most bizarre sporting stories in recent history. In&nbsp;<strong><em>Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story</em></strong>, he speaks to drivers (hello Jenson Button) and different executives, piecing together what happened to this new team which stormed to victory one season only to disappear the next. Surprisingly compulsive viewing.</p>

<p>Since wowing in&nbsp;<em>I May Destroy You,</em>&nbsp;Paapa Essideu is on a show stealing roll and we’d happily watch him in anything. This week, it is series two of the time-bending thriller,&nbsp;<strong><em>The Lazarus Project.</em></strong>Essideu reprises his role as George, who is currently in the bad books with the Lazarus team after betraying them in the name of true love. However, it’s all water under the bridge when his expertise are needed to get them out of an infinite, three-week, time loop. Sound like too much sci-fi for you? Watch for Essideu and Pauline Quirk (yes really).</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><em>Mary Makes It Easy</em>, Thu 16 Nov, BBC Two</strong></h2>

<p>Queen of the kitchen, Mary Berry, returns to your screens teaching hapless celebrities how to cook a meal each week – and like a slice of freshly baked cake, it is very welcome! First up Anton Du Beke, who joins Berry in Bournemouth to conjure up a feast of crispy squid, smoked salmon linguine and apricot Portuguese tarts. Other celebrities she’ll help become less clueless in the kitchen are Mel Giedroyc and Jordan North.&nbsp;A wholesome, warm hug of a watch.&nbsp;</p>

<p>And so it begins, the onslaught of festive films. First up a Christmas comedy caper starring Brandy Norwood (yes the RnB songstress responsible for&nbsp;<em>The Boy is Mine</em>), Heather Graham and Jason Biggs. Jackie (Norwood) has done very well for herself in life, much to the annoyance of former college bestie, Catherine (Graham). The pair are thrown together by chance over the festive period providing Charlotte with the perfect opportunity to prove Jackie’s life isn’t as perfect as it seems. A light-hearted watch with all the components of a proper family Christmas – jealously fuelled sleuthing and ridiculous arguments!</p>

<p>Your Friday night movie fix is sorted courtesy of Barack and Michelle Obama! The pair produced this remarkable portrayal of the lesser-known Civil Rights Activist, Bayard Rustin. Coleman Domingo plays the passionate and powerful&nbsp;<strong><em>Rustin</em></strong>&nbsp;who overcame racism and homophobia to rally the march in Washington which resulted in Martin Luther King’s iconic ‘I Have a Dream’ speech. Chris Rock makes a charming cameo in this must-watch movie.</p>

<p>Epic special effects&nbsp;<em>and</em>&nbsp;Kurt Russell – what more could you want from a TV show really? Set half a century after Godzilla’s monstrous attack on San Francisco, and some scaly monsters are beginning to resurface again. This takes Cate (Anna Sawai) and Lee Shaw (Russell) on a globetrotting adventure to the headquarters of a mysterious organisation, Monarch, who seem to be at the heart of all the monstrous happenings – yikes. It’s giving 1993&nbsp;<em>Jurassic Park</em>&nbsp;vibes which is no bad thing but prepare for some jump out of your skin moments though – you’ve been warned.&nbsp;</p>
