Here’s what not to miss…

1. Chevalier: Hobbyhorse Circus, Sat 24 – Sun 25 Aug

The headliners for 2024 include Chevalier: Hobbyhorse Circus by Race Horse Company, a magical one-man circus show from Finland so you can be assured this isn’t something you’ve seen before. It’s an irresistibly charming homage to the magnificent horses of circus and the silent movie era. As the horses take center stage on the small manege, part of the ringmaster’s story is told in short silent movies on a small cinema screen combined with acrobatics, juggling and balancing with an amazing cast of hobby horses. It’s worth mentioning that bOing! is a relaxed festival so feel free to leave and re-enter the performance at any time. This performance is non-verbal and accessible to all. Tickets are £6.

2. RPM by Gorilla Circus, Sun 25 Aug

Experience the thrill of dance with Gorilla Circus with this acrobatic display all set on a giant custom-built treadmill. After the performance, join the lively workshop where you can unleash your creativity, learn new moves and dance with the Gorilla Circus team. This is a free event.

3. The Sticky Dance, Sat 24 – Sun 25 Aug

Enter a weaving world of tape! The Sticky Dance is an interactive, engaging and colourful performance installation for autistic/neurodivergent children and their families. Three dancers’ shimmy through the audience weaving a tapestry of sticky tape in this tactile dance performance for young children. They invite you to tape, stick and groove, to see and feel sound or to be still, watch and listen. Late comers and re-entry is permitted but if the space is already full, you may have to wait. Suitable for 3-7 years with parent/carer. Tickets are £6.

4. Luminarium, Sat 24 – Sun 25 Aug
