Keepers Cottages: 10 years of hand-picking Kent’s best holiday homes

5 reasons why we love this Kent-based, family run agency who have selected 150 stunning self-catering properties for your next luxury holiday home

1. THE CONCEPT

Keepers Cottages holiday homes in Kent

From cultural hotspot Canterbury, to the coastal cool of Deal, Keepers Cottages can offer you the perfect escape from their stunning selection of 150 holiday homes in some of Kent’s coolest destinations.

Keepers Cottages has led the way for self-catering accommodation across Kent since the company was founded in 2013 by Camilla Shipton, still the owner today. And this year (yes, you’ve done the maths!) they are celebrating their 10th anniversary. So that’s a decade of hand-picking luxury, self-catering accommodation all in great locations, with stunning interiors – just to ensure you have the best time possible on your next staycay.

2. THE STORY

A true, family-run business, Camilla runs Keepers Cottages with her son, Arthur and daughter, Phoebe.

Camilla knows this industry from the grass roots up, as she began her journey as a cleaner for various holiday lets and found herself going the extra mile to make sure the houses were absolutely perfect for the guests.

After time, Camilla realised that there were no other agencies in the area who took care of everything for the owners – spotting a gap in the market for a complete, local management service – and Keepers Cottages was born. Since that day, Keepers Cottages has built a very good reputation as the go-to agency on the Kent Coast.

3. THE LOCATIONS

Basically all the key spots in East Kent are covered. Whether you fancy catching the theatre in Canterbury or exploring foodie-haven Folkestone – you’ll be spoilt for choice on where to stay on your break away.

From the classic seaside towns of Deal, Kingsdown and Whitstable, through rolling green countryside and the iconic White Cliffs of Dover, Keepers Cottages offer a wide selection of stunning properties in all the main coastal hotspots and some rural destinations too.

4. THE SELF-CATERING COTTAGES

Keepers Cottages Kent self-catering accommodation

There are many advantages to self-catering holiday homes – privacy (it’s all yours!) to affordability (eat in if you want – the kitchens are well-appointed). And there’s a stay for everyone – from cosy fisherman’s cottages and romantic apartments to large celebration houses.

You can search the range of properties according to occasion – Summer Holidays 2023, Golf Breaks, Last Minute Availability (handy) or Long Lets being just a few examples.

Or search for features – do you want Dog-friendly, or a Sea View? There’s a selection of large family holiday homes, offering luxury stays for big groups and family gatherings, and enjoy luxury features such as Houses with pools, or saunas, or an out door bath and games rooms too.
