<p>Best thing about this time of year is &#8211; just as those leaves turn golden &#8211; the arts and culture season kicks off. Case in point &#8211; just check out the offerings at <a href="https://www.trinitytheatre.net" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Trinity</a>, Tunbridge Well&#8217;s buzzy little theatre, arts centre and performance venue, located in the former Holy Trinity Church. </p>



<p>And it&#8217;s not just theatre you&#8217;ll find here, but also music nights, a regular Comedy Club (pulling in some big names), workshops for drama loving kids and teens, <em>plus</em> a full film schedule as well. Here’s our top five events to a pop in your diary pronto.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">1. See the stars Live streamed</h2>

<p>There&#8217;s nothing like experiencing Live theatre up close and personal. But living in the sticks, having kids and/or juggling work can mean that sometimes it&#8217;s not quiiite so easy to make it to the west end. Fear not! Trinity has a rolling programme of Royal Opera House (ROH) and National Theatre (NT) shows screened Live into the theatre&#8217;s cinema &#8211; so you can watch without schlepping into the Big Smoke, and saving on the old purse strings too.</p>



<p>We are beyond excited to see Emilia Clarke (yes, the one and only Daenerys Targaryen in&nbsp;<em>Game of Thrones</em>) making her West End debut in <em><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.trinitytheatre.net/events/nt-live-the-seagull" target="_blank">The Seagull</a></em>, a brilliant 21st century retelling of Anton Chekhov’s tale of love and loneliness &#8211; streamed Live from the NT on Thurs 3 Nov.</p>



<p>Other upcoming gems includes Puccini&#8217;s opera of passion, friendship and heartbreak with <em><a href="https://www.trinitytheatre.net/events/roh-live-la-boheme" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">La bohème</a></em> (Mon 24 Oct) and <em><a href="https://www.trinitytheatre.net/events/roh-live-the-nutcracker" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Nutcracker</a></em> the most magical of Christmas adventures (Mon 19 Dec) both not-to-be missed delights streamed Live from ROH. </p>

<p>Don’t be late for this very important date! This fantastical ballet is back, Let’s All Dance Company presents&nbsp;<em><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.trinitytheatre.net/events/alice-in-wonderland" target="_blank">Alice in Wonderland</a></em>&nbsp;on Sun 30 Oct. Watch stunning dancing, much loved characters and superb music bring the famous tale to life in this magical ballet production. Suitable for all ages, especially 2 – 14 year olds, including children with special needs. Plus there’ll be photo opportunities with dancers after the show!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">3. London comics come to you</h2>

<p>Trinity theatre has developed a real name for itself as both the cultural heart of Tunbridge Wells, but also the comedy central &#8211; getting in all the best gigs that bring the giggles. A regular rolling cast of the countries up and coming comics appear on stage here. And one Saturday every month the Good Ship Comedy presents the most relevant, rising star talents on the circuit.</p>

<p>Check out Winnie Southgate&#8217;s new play for young audiences, <em><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.trinitytheatre.net/events/the-aliens-who-saved-christmas" target="_blank">The Aliens Who Saved Christmas</a></em>. It&#8217;s suitable for ages 2+ and is fast-paced riot of a show, full of colour and magic, to keep the little ones entertained long after they leave the auditorium. So can the children help friendly aliens Sniff and Splat save Christmas? Showing from Fri 16 &#8211; Fri 30 Dec.</p>



<p>Plus there&#8217;s a live musical radio play version of the well-loved classic story, <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.trinitytheatre.net/events/miracle-on-34th-street" target="_blank"><em>Miracle on 34th Street</em></a>. Peppered with original music and well-known Christmas carols in a stunning four-part harmony, all backed by live piano accompaniment. Watch in awe as seven actors perform every character and enjoy one of the greatest Christmas stories ever told. Grab a glass of mulled wine and a loved one! Available on dates from Tues 20 &#8211; Thurs 29 Dec. </p>
